Discovery Network
Working with Discovery Networks in Latin America was a unique experience, given its range of channels like Discovery Channel, Discovery Kids, Discovery Home&Health, and more. Each channel has its own vibe and draws in different kinds of viewers. The big question was, how do we honor the uniqueness of each channel while keeping a consistent design language? How do we pull together diverse content in their video-on-demand hub but still make it feel personal for each user? And a big one – how do we safely combine adult and kids' content on the same platform, especially with shows like 'Murder Calls' around? These were some of the challenges we tackled between 2013 and 2014. Our mission was to redesign the web portals for each channel and craft their video-on-demand apps across various platforms – web, iOS, Android, mobile, and tablet.
