Chromecast is undoubtedly one of the most successful consumer hardware products worldwide. As the first piece of hardware from Google to achieve mainstream adoption, its affordable and simple solution transformed millions of TVs globally, enabling them to stream online content. The experience of connecting your phone to your TV felt like magic.

I had the privilege and honor of contributing to the reinvention of this beloved product. The latest generation of Chromecasts answers two of the most requested features since its launch: a remote control and a user interface. The team delivered these and more. With the integration of Google Assistant, we introduced unmatched voice control, making access to content a breeze. By partnering with the Android TV team, we introduced Google TV to users. This platform reflects the contemporary way we consume TV – a smart approach to navigating through a myriad of streaming services, striking the right balance between personalization and discovery. I might be biased, but the Chromecast with Google TV is one of my favorite devices at home, accompanying me wherever I move or travel.
